THEIR STYLE

Their unique style is characterized by their intimate connection. Such style merely reflects their deep conviction that the most important foundational element of Argentine Tango is the heart-to-heart dialogue through music. Although they both possess a commanding and rigorous mastering of the technique of the dance - expressed as impeccable timing, craft, elegance and wit - it is their connected spirituality which makes them so inspiring and immediately recognizable, no matter what place in the world they happen to be dancing at.

PERFORMANCES & TEACHING

Teresa and Juan Carlos are established performers who have been featured in Philadelphia TV Channel 6 as guests in the program Puerto Rican Panorama hosted by Diego Castellanos. They have also performed in Tango shows in Washington, DC. In Philadelphia, they were performing guests at the Heritage Dance Festival for the years 1999 and 2000, and at the Neighborhood of Nations Festival in 2001. In 2004, they taught in Colorado and Arizona, and have held monthly workshops in Princeton, NJ. Presently they are sporadically teaching in New York City, Princeton, NJ and Washington DC.

Their teaching style is characterized by its focus on the dynamics of improvised motion that integrates all components of the body, a keen and creative sense of musicality, and the leader-follower relationship that manifests itself within each individual integrating the couple. They are known and highly respected for their commitment to help their students and their abilities to teach foundational aspects of the dance, in a way that expresses the intrigue of tango into “a heart-to-heart dialogue through music”… a language that is accessible to all!
